So you are considering trying the exciting sport of Clay Target Shooting?  There are some requirements necessary to ensure your day is safe, exciting and fun for all involved. Please read through the information set out below and if you have any queries feel free to contact the club to discuss these directly with our staff.

 

We encourage all participants to read the info prior to booking your day with us so that all participants are well informed about your event at Cecil Park Clay Target Club on the day.

Participant Information:

 

Participating Shooters will be split up into groups so that you are given more personalised guidance by our instructors and the best chance and hitting as many targets as possible.

 

Gun Licensing & Age Requirements:

 

Persons under the age of 12 are not permitted under NSW Firearms laws to participate in clay target shooting.  NSW Police requires that all participants be approved through a P650 declaration form (for unlicensed shooters). The P650 System allows unlicensed persons to try their hand at our sport without a licence, so long as it is carried out at an approved shooting

Insurance:

Public Liability Insurance is provided and included as part of the fees you pay on the day of your event.

 

Equipment Supplied:

All the necessary equipment needed will be provided by us.  We provide basic hearing protection, ammunition and use of our club firearms. You are welcome to bring along better hearing protection if you prefer.  Please be aware that person in your group who do not hold a current firearms licence, cannot handle live ammunition under any circumstances. Ammunition will be handled by your instructor.  You will be briefed on this prior to commencement of your event.

 

Clothing:

All participants must wear enclosed shoes (no high heels, no thongs or sandals) along with suitable comfortable clothing (singlets are not permitted).

 

Weather:

Shooters are conditioned to shoot in all types of weather conditions.  In fact changes in weather train competition shooters to be better at their discipline.  As such, the session will proceed on the day unless we experience difficult weather conditions such as hail or lightning storms.  Should this occur, we will postpone your event to a more suitable time.

 

Catering:

Snacks and refreshments are available on the grounds.  If you wish to provide self help BBQ facilities, please advise us during your booking.

 

Trophies and Prizes:

Your groups scores will be totalled as it is done in competition shooting with a trophy being presented to the Highest Scorer on the day. It makes for a great group photo opportunity.

Exclusive Sole Use of the layout:

During your corporate event, your group will have the sole use of the layout.

BOOKING SESSIONS, DEPOSITS AND PAYMENT, RESCHEDULING EVENT & CANCELLATION:

​

 

FULL PAYMENT IS REQUIRED TO SECURE YOUR BOOKING for all Corporate Events, this confirms the range and date. The earlier the booking is made the more likely of getting the time and date you require!

 

Cancellation:

Will forfeit your deposit. Rescheduling can take place only if there is availability on their scheduled date and time.

 

Full Payment:

Payment is required before the event starts, cash only is accepted on the day.

 

Prior to the event:

Unless payments are received at time of booking the date will be left open to other potential events.

A confirmation of participant numbers (min 10 participants) is required 3 days prior to your event.

 

All non licensed shooters must complete a P650 declaration form (NSW Police Firearms Registry) these are available to download and print from our website. All non licensed shooters MUST bring approved Photo ID (Australian Drivers Licence or Passport is preferable)

 

PRICING:

Corporate participants $160 pp.

Larger groups include scoring of the events with prizes and Trophy for the highest scoring shooter

​

Try shooting $120 pp. smaller group of for those simply wanting to experience the fun of shooting clay targets

​

This includes: 25 clay targets, 25 rounds of ammunition including all equipment. Smiles are free!
